Description

This project involved the commercial painting of a new athletic complex for the football stadium at Berrien Springs Schools. The project included locker rooms, concession areas, and a press box. Part of our scope of work was painted graphics on masonry walls which were challenging due to some of the small letters that were part of the graphic.

Musashi Automotive Concrete Polishing - Battle Creek

Description

Musashi is an existing automotive manufacturing facility. In the assembly area in the back of the plant the floor had a 3/8” trowel down coating with Epoxy topcoats. H & H Painting removed the existing trowel down coating using PCD’s on a large grinder. Once all of the trowel down epoxy coating had been removed we then diamond ground, polished, and densified the concrete to an 800 grit level.

Before we painted the concrete ceiling in this new Natatorium we vapor blasted the concrete surface. This allowed the right surface profile to accept a strong epoxy primer and topcoat system.

Description

This project was an old break room with a VCT tile. All the tile was removed exposing some large holes and cracks in the concrete. These were patched with a combination of Epoxy patch materials and urethane cement. All patchwork was diamond ground to a smooth surface and a three-coat 100% solids epoxy coating with anti-slip was applied.

This project was in an old factory that was being repurposed for a new business. The existing 34,000 sq. ft. had an old heavily worn urethane coating. This was removed by shot blasting, then the floor was diamond ground to a smooth surface. Lines were painted and then a concrete densifier was applied.

Description

This dog boarding facility was about ten years old and had the original floors which were stained and clear coated over. The floors were dull, stretched and the old clear coat was damaged. We cleaned, sanded, and applied two coats of a clear polyurethane floor coating to bring the floors back to their original luster.

JBS (Urethane Cement) - Plainwell

This project was the JBS feet room. The room was being refurbed and new equipment installed. The floor was prepped using diamond grinding, shot blasting, and jackhammering. The floor required heavy repair with some holes being over six inches deep. Once all prep and repair had been done we installed a 3/8 Urethane cement coating with a full broadcast of colored quartz for traction being this floor is always wet during production.

This project was in an older section of the plant that they had removed the machinery out of the area in prep for a new line of equipment. The area had existing coatings, we used diamond grinding to remove all of the existing coatings. Once all of the old coatings were off the floor we patched and filled cracks. Then we applied a 100% solids Epoxy primer, a 100% solids Epoxy intermediate coat followed by a Polyaspartic top coat.

UMAMI Ramen - Battle Creek

Description

This was a 100-year-old building being converted into a new restaurant. In the dining area, we Diamond ground the concrete to remove all the old adhesives from the existing floor coverings. We used a large diamond grinder and went over the floor with 30 grit, filled all cracks, and patched all damage on the floor. We then continued to grind using 80 grit and 150 git diamonds to smooth the floor. Once all patching, crack filling, and grinding was done we stained the floor using an acetone concrete stain. This followed by applying a low gloss clear sealer. In the kitchen and back of the house, we performed diamond grinding, patching, and crack filling followed by applying a two-coat urethane cement coating.
