The center features a multipurpose room with a capacity to seat 330 people, a courtyard with an outdoor fireplace, an outdoor terrace for warm-weather activities, recreational space for activities such as pickleball and basketball, fitness space, a center promenade for walking, a commercial kitchen, a coffee shop, dedicated space for games and reading and a health clinic.

H& H was proud to be a part of this local community project and install quality vinyl wallcovering for a beautiful accent design to the space.

Advia Credit Union Headquarters - Kalamazoo

Description

This 3-story, 300,000 square foot building has the capacity for 460 employees, initially housing approximately 240 employees from 32 departments, accommodating Advia branch banking services, branch retail, banking drive-thru services, ATM, and a night deposit box.

This Unique designed open space concept office building looks clean, sharp, and modern for a great all-around project.

Description

This was a 100-year-old building being converted into a new restaurant. In the dining area, we Diamond ground the concrete to remove all the old adhesives from the existing floor coverings. We used a large diamond grinder and went over the floor with 30 grit, filled all cracks, and patched all damage on the floor. We then continued to grind using 80 grit and 150 git diamonds to smooth the floor. Once all patching, crack filling, and grinding was done we stained the floor using an acetone concrete stain. This followed by applying a low gloss clear sealer. In the kitchen and back of the house, we performed diamond grinding, patching, and crack filling followed by applying a two-coat urethane cement coating.

Description

The existing floor had carpet tiles that were glued down. Once the carpet tiles were pulled up the glue needed to be removed. The glue was cut/removed with our floor grinder and carbide blades. After most of the glue was removed we were able to start diamond grinding the floor for a surface profile. When grinding was complete the floor was primed with a 2-part epoxy primer, 2nd coated with a two part epoxy and flake was broadcasted into the wet material at a medium rate. The final coat was a clear 2-part urethane to protect the floor for many years.

Description

This project consisted of a muli-hangar and support buildings in addition to an existing facility. It also included a complete interior and exterior renovation of the existing facility. There are many unique features to the project including a custom wallcovering mural over 100’ long and intumescent coating on the entire ceiling of one hangar.

Description

This dog boarding facility was about ten years old and had the original floors which were stained and clear coated over. The floors were dull, stretched and the old clear coat was damaged. We cleaned, sanded, and applied two coats of a clear polyurethane floor coating to bring the floors back to their original luster.

This was an old garage area being converted into a storage room. The floor was old, cracked, and spalled. H&H prepped the surface by diamond grinding and patching the concrete. Then installed two coats of 100% solids Epoxy coating.

Gerald R. Ford International Airport Parking Deck- Grand Rapids

Description

The addition of an 8 1/2 acre roof deck to the parking structure at the Gerald R Ford International Airport.  The work included sandblasting every weld on the entire structure and coating the welds with galvanized paint. All of the finished products needed to be tested by an independent agency to ensure the specified product mils were achieved.  A detailed work plan was required to make sure schedules and testing requirements were met.

Description

This project was a challenging 12 story apartment complex and an attached 3 story parking garage with a roof deck pool. A compressed schedule and high demand for manpower were the biggest obstacles we overcame to complete this high-rise on time for our client.

Included in the project was the painting of drywall walls & ceilings, concrete ceilings, wood doors & trim, and metal doors and frames. The finishing of all these various substrates resulted in a great-looking high-end apartment building for downtown Grand Rapids.

This project incorporated many renovated areas of the event center, mainly the locker rooms and the arena entrance tunnels. The scope of work included an epoxy floor coating in the player’s entrance stairwell. Prepping old walls prior to painting, and painting exposed ceilings throughout the weight room and visitor locker rooms. This project had to be closely managed daily for planning and scheduling work around the events taking place with the hockey team’s practice and game schedule.
