H & H performed commercial painting services with high articulating boom lifts, multi metallic colored Tnemec epoxies, and high visible ceiling coatings. Our Floor division came into prep and epoxy the mechanical room floors with anti-slip silica sand broadcast into the topcoat.

Before we painted the concrete ceiling in this new Natatorium we vapor blasted the concrete surface. This allowed the right surface profile to accept a strong epoxy primer and topcoat system.

LMC art center was under renovation, rooms were in rough shape with old adhesives, lots of holes, and damage to the concrete floors. We diamond ground to remove all old adhesives, patched and repaired concrete substrate, and installed pigmented and clear epoxy floors.

KVCC Culinary Arts & Allied Health Building (Main Project) – Kalamazoo

Description

This project involved the construction of 75,000 square foot, 3 story building that houses KVCC’s nursing, EMT, and respiratory care programs along with housing the Culinary Arts program, a student-run restaurant, and a teaching brewery.

This project was on a very tight schedule and involved painting exposed ceilings, walls, and structural steel in a 70’ tall atrium, painting of steel columns and guardrails, multiple accent paint colors throughout the building, electrostatic painting of steel posts in the demo kitchen, and painting of a lot of exposed ceiling areas throughout the building.

Description

Prepping and electrostatic painting steel deck posts in the demonstration kitchen at the new Culinary Arts building. These posts were power coated at the factory and they were damaged during installation and through the construction process. We were able to save a large expense to the project by electrostatic painting the posts in place with a two-component epoxy and providing a finish that was comparable to the original powder coat finish.

Description

H&H Painting delicately stripped existing old finishes on wood doors, wainscot stairs, and trim in the existing facility. Followed by staining and varnishing all new and existing wood combined with the detailed painting of multiple substrates resulted in a wonderfully uniform historic renovation on MSU’s campus.

Description

The project consisted of an installation of a pedestrian traffic coating on the new bridge walkway. The concrete surface was shot blasted and two coats of a pedestrian traffic coating broadcast with sand for slip resistance was applied.

Description

Application of a water-based acrylic semi-transparent stain in a stairway. The floors were first cleaned with a cleaner/degreaser followed by an acid etch. After the application of the semi-transparent stain, two coats of a high-performance industrial clear coat were applied followed by two coats of an industrial floor finish for increased durability.

This project consisted of applying a new epoxy floor coating system in the new maintenance facility at Western Michigan University. The prep consisted of shot blasting to clean and profile the floor, followed by applying a primer coat of a high solids binder resin and finished with high performance, impact and abrasion resistant, epoxy with an anti-slip bead broadcast.
